Virginia Book Crews, 100, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away August 20, 2019, at Piggott General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott, Arkansas.

She was born on July 14, 1919, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Samuel Benjamin and Emma Kirk Dudley.

Virginia was united in marriage to Dee Book on November 7, 1936, and he preceded her in death on May 25, 1987. On October 26, 1990, she was united in marriage to Howard Crews and he preceded her in death on April 3, 2002.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Sam Book and daughter-in-law, Dian Book.

Virginia was a longtime member of Trailor's Chapel General Baptist Church in Pollard, Arkansas, and was a faithful attendee from 1936 until 2017. She enjoyed playing cards and Dominos and grew beautiful flowers.

Survivors include her daughter, Deanna (Raymond) Dismukes of Pollard, Arkansas; grandchildren, Latraca (Eddie) Lowe of Doniphan, Missouri, Christie (Tommy) Risinger of Piggott, Arkansas, Holly (Steve) Kirk of Kieser, Arkansas, Patrick Book of St. Francis, Arkansas, Andee Book of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Jerrod (Stephanie) Lowe, Chelsea (Paden) Cote, Hayden (Gabby) Risinger, Hanna Kirk, Ethan Kirk, Adam Risinger, Denver Book, Will Kirk, Emma Kirk, and Dixie Book; great-great grandchildren, Mason Lowe, Emmett Cote, Mia Lowe, Aniston Cote, and Finley Lowe; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019, at 1:00 pm at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Loran Johnson and Mark Book officiating. A private burial will be held in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas, with Jerrod Lowe, Hayden Risinger, Ethan Kirk, Adam Risinger, Denver Book, Will Kirk, Mason Lowe, and Emmett Cote serving as pallbearers. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Saturday from 12:00 pm until service time.
