Mrs. A.H. Asche was born in Sweden, November 2, 1862; came to Princeton in 1881; was united in marriage with Mr. A.H. Asche, June 4, 1884, and to them were born four children - Walter, Robert, Marjorie and Della - all of whom are living. The death of Mrs. Asche occurred at the family residence, corner of Crown and Randolph streets, Sunday morning, March 23, 1902, from that dread disease, cancer.
Mrs. Asche had been in poor health for several years, and finally last December an operation was decided upon, hoping to effect a cure. She apparently recovered hopefully in strength and activity, and for a time believed a cure had been effected. This year, however, there was a return of the disease, and gradually she grew weaker until the final summons came.
A devoted husband and mother and four children, besides many friends, mourn her untimely loss. The funeral service was held at the Swedish Lutheran church, Tuesday, March 25, at 3 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. G.E. Hemdahl. There was a large attendance of sympathizing friends, many of whom followed her remains to their last resting place in Oakland cemetery.
