Shadrack Lively, son of Joseph Lively and Mary Anderson. Married Susannah Bowerman on January 14, 1819 in Randolph County, IL.

Shadrack Lively (sometimes referred to as Shadrack Jr, to distinguish him from his uncle Shadrack Lively) was a soldier in the War of 1812. He enlisted in Capt. Absalom Cox's Company, Illinois Militia, on August 4, 1812 and was discharged November 16, 1812. He again enlisted on March 22, 1813 in Capt. Wm. Boon's Company, Illinois Militia, and was discharged June 5, 1813. He was credited with a total of 6 months of active service against the Kickapoo Indians. Also, both Shadrack Jr. and Shadrack Sr. served from August 4, 1815 to November 3, 1815 in Capt. Absalom Cox's Company.

Shardrack Jr. owned land and property in both Randolph and Perry County, Illinois. In 1830 he lived in Perry County, but in 1840, 1850, 1860 and 1870 he lived in Randolph County.
