Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Crowell Memorial Home, Blair NE. Jack was born in Wilber NE, son of Izma and Jesse C. Rusmisel. Jack was married to his wife of 65 years, Jane (nee Stryker) Rusmisel in 1944, Riverside CA. Jack, a commissioned officer in the United States Army Air Force in WWII, was recipient of the Air Force Award and the Distinguished Flying Cross for his actions as a B-24 bombardier in combat in the Pacific and over Japan.
He is survived by his son Richard Jesse (Mary) Rusmisel, Paso Robles CA; grandsons, Jason (Sarah), Dagan and Colin; great grandchildren Arwen, Emmett and Gabrielle; niece Sandy Lampe of San Diego CA and nephew Phil Welch Jr, Omaha NE.
Graveside Service 11am Thursday November 12th at Bohemian National Cemetery, Wilber NE. Cards and letters of condolence may be sent care of the Rusmisel Family to Kuncl Funeral Home, Wilber NE, 68465.
