Vincent Edmond Castello (52 years old) of Whittington, Illinois (formerly of Shorewood, Illinois), died October 17, 2013 in West Frankfort, Illinois. He was born December 7, 1960 in Joliet, Illinois to William L. and Loretta M. (Johnson) Castello.

Vincent attended Minooka Schools (Minooka, Illinois) and grew up in Shorewood, Illinois.

Vincent had worked for the Shelby-Craftco Company in Shorewood, Illinois. He moved to Whittington, Illinois in 2002. Vincent had numerous hobbies. He had a passion for repairing small appliances, gardening, drawing and being outdoors with nature. One of the highlights of his life was cooking meals for his family. He took great joy in talking with people and loved living in Southern Illinois. He will be greatly missed by family and all who knew him.

Vincent is survived by his loving companion, Janet Banta; two brothers, William (Sandy) Castello Jr. of Michigan City, Indiana; David (Judy) Castello of Ocala, Florida; and four sisters, Judy (Charlie) Rose of Nappanee, Indiana; Diane (Stephen) Bailey of West Frankfort, Illinois; Pam (Don) Birkey of Channahon, Illinois; and Valerie (John) Davis of Fallston, Maryland. His nephews and nieces, Bill (Lori) Castello III, Joe (Becky) Castello, Gina (Alex) Baxter, Charlie Rose Jr, Stacy (Dane) Johns, David (Lisa) Castello, Donald (Degi) Birkey, Brian Birkey, Angela (Joe) Dailing, Ryan Davis; 8 great nephews and neices.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday October 20, 2013 in the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort, Illinois with Minister Jason Ishmael officiating. Burial will be in the Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort, Illinois. Visitation will be after 12:00 noon Sunday at the funeral home.
