Mrs. T. H. Baker dead

Born Nov. 20, 1873
Died Sept. 11, 1932

The many Seguin friends of Mrs. T. H. Baker were shocked to hear of her sudden death early Sunday morning[, 11 Sep], at her home in Memphis, Tenn.. She had suffered several heart attacks, but her death was very unexpected.

Mrs. Mollie Autrey Baker was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Autrey[sic], and was born and reared in this county. Mr. Autrey was sheriff of this county for several terms.

She was married to Mr. T. H. Baker on April 21, 1896. They made their home in Seguin for many years; four daughters and one son were born to them; one daughter, Ruth, died in 1911.

Mrs. Baker was an exceptionally fine character in every walk life in which she was placed. A sincere Christian, a devoted wife and mother[,] a true friend[,] she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In September 1918 the family moved to Memphis, where they have since resided.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mesdames Dodson Stamps, of Chicago; Earl Bolton and Elkins Crawford, of Memphis; one son, T. H. Baker, Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers and other relatives to whom the Enterprise extends sympathy.—The Seguin Enterprise
