Matthew Holden Taylor, 71, died at his home in Douglas April 2, 2008. He was the son of Andrew Leonard and Harriet Marit (Holden) Taylor. He was reared and educated in Wyoming, and graduated from Douglas High School in 1954. He worked for Shell Oil Co. and B & H Uranium Mine, and then went to work in road construction, building interstate bridges in Casper. In the early 1970s he started Taylor Welding and Designing, which he owned and operated until the time of his death. He is survived by his children, Debra Flaherty of Douglas and Matthew Taylor of Laguna Niguel, Calif.. sisters, Dolly Thompson and Rose Taylor, both of Douglas; grandsons, Justin Taylor of Laramie, Joshua Flaherty of Fort Lewis, Wash., Judah Flaherty of Tucson, Ariz., Elijah Flaherty of Fort Lewis, and Isaiah Flaherty of Okinawa, Japan; girl Friday, Terra Ellison of Douglas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Hollis; brother, Eric Taylor; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Taylor; and nephew Rick Taylor.
