Completing eighty years of life, almost to the minute, Lewis B. Scott, for the past twelve years a resident of Russiaville, died at his home at 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning, following a long illness complicated with advancing age. He had been critically ill for about ten days.

The deceased was born in Clinton county, the son of William and Ivo [should be Iso] Chandler Scott, and most of his life was spent in that vicinity.

He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Susan Scott; three sons, Jesse [name should be Dessie] E., of Kokomo, and Ancel [also spelled Ancil] and Ethal [variations on name are Eathal and Ethel] of Russiaville; three nieces, a nephew, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A daughter, Opal [also known as Laura Opal], died 21 years ago. Mr. Scott was a member of the M. E. church at Cloverdale.

The funeral will be held at the Middlefork Baptist church, in charge of the Rev. C. E. Dunlap, pastor of the M. E. church at Russiaville. Burial will be in the Union cemetery.
