Mrs. Dolly Eva Mae Thomas, age 65, died Wednesday night, March 22, at Hill's Nursing Home where she had resided for the past six months. She was born in Jewel City, Kan and had lived in Mahaska County for over 55 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Albert (Evelyn) Allison of Oskaloosa and Mrs Carl (Ethel) Wheeler of Des Moines; two sons, Raymond and Vernon Smithart of Oskaloosa; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs Ermal Johnson of Arlington, Wash and Mrs Vera Arnold of Portland, Ore and four brothers, Donald Baxter of Mount Vernon, Wash, Cecil Baxter of Everett, Wash and Alvie and Alvin Baxter of Newton.

Services will be at Powers funeral home Friday, March 24, at 2 p.m. with burial at Forest Cemetery. Rev Max Johnson of the Assembly of God will officiate.
