He was born Nov. 10, 1929, in Cherry Valley, to Glen and Bervol (Austin) Goldman.
Formerly of Downers Grove, he had been a Crystal Lake resident for the past 23 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a school bus driver for 10 years with Crystal Lake School District 155. He also worked as a mechanic for Madden Ford and the Ford dealership in Woodstock. He retired in 1993. He was an avid fisherman; he enjoyed camping and the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; six children, Edward Goldman Jr. of New Port Richey, Fla., Jeffrey Goldman of Crystal Lake, Tina (Kevin) Ferrin of Hudson, Fla., Gail (Carl) Barba of Wheaton, Gary Goldman of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Craig Goldman of Tucson,Ariz.; seven grandchildren, two brothers, Ray (Bonnie) Goldman of Belvidere and Charles (Marilyn) Goldman of Kingston, Ga.; and a sister, Lola (Gerald) Schiller of McHenry.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
