DELHI — Funeral services for Sammy Charrier, 29, of Delhi, were to be at 2:30 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church with the Revs. Lewis Clarke and J. P. Harvey officiating.

Charrier was found in Big Creek near Holly Ridge around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. He had been missing since Dec. 13 when the car he was driving overturned off the creek bridge located on U.S. 80.

Burial was to be in Delhi Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Kidder Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.

Charrier, a student at Northeast Louisiana State University, was a native of Delhi and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Charlene Charrier; one daughter, Cheryl Lynnette Charrier; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Charrier; two brothers, Bobby and Mark Charrier; one sister, Miss Evanette Charrier; and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Nettie Charrier, all of Delhi.
