Glenn H. Auchey Sr.

HANOVER - Glenn H. Auchey, Sr., 78, entered into God's eternal care, Monday, October 28, 2013, at his home. Glenn was the loving husband of Marian I. (Peterman) Auchey with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.
Born August 14, 1935, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Harry A. and Espenedia C. (Sterner) Auchey.
Glenn was a member of St. Paul's (Dubs) Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA, the Hanover AMVETS, the Hanover EAGLES, the McSherrystown Moose, and the McSherrystown Home Association. Glenn was the owner and operator of Auchey's Fairview Greenhouses until his retirement in 1999. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, gardening, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Glenn is survived by five children Penny Shetter of Shippensburg, Bonnie DeHoff of Hanover, Debra Dubs, of Hilton Head, S.C., Glenn H. Auchey, Jr. of Hanover, Lorie Arndt of Spring Grove; 11 grandchildren; Robert Adams III, Anita Adams, Jennifer Adams, Eric Hersh, Tanya McDowell, Justin Dubs, Natalie Mohler, Sean Dubs, Antoinette Auchey, Cassandra Auchey, Ashley Arndt; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Thelma Evans and Jean Kessler, both of Hanover.
A Funeral service to celebrate and remember Glenn's life will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, with the Rev. Craig A. Lantz officiating. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2013 and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

AUCHEY - PETERMAN

Miss Marian Irene Peterman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Peterman, rear 201 East Chestnut Street, was married to Glenn Harold Auchey, son of Mrs. Harry Auchey, Hanover R.D. 1, in a double-ring ceremony performed Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. C. Keperling at his home, Manchester, Md.
The bride wore a blue suit with white accessories and a corsage of yellow rosebuds. A reception for about 55 guests followed at the home of the bridegroom's mother, where the couple will reside.
The bride is employed by the Beaudin Shoe Company. Her husband works as a florist with his mother.
