Norman Eugene Allington, 80, went to his heavenly home on October 29, 2013. He was born in Beatrice Nebraska to Duane and Yula Allington on April 5th 1933. United in marriage to Genevieve Pheasant from Beatrice Nebraska, December 28th 1954. Graduated from Beatrice High School, class of 1951. Faithful to his God and country, served in the U.S. Navy for four years and the Air Force for 16 years. He was a devout member of the Church of Christ in Beatrice Nebraska. Norman enjoyed mechanical challenges from old cars to tractors. He was eternally devoted to his family, country and church.

Family members include: wife of nearly 58 years, Genevieve; children, Clayton Allington (Janet), Clinton Allington (Jeanette), Sheryl Buhr (Delvin), Cindy Thompson (Tom); nine grandchildren; brother-in-law Kenneth Pheasant (Joyce) and family. Preceded in death by son Lynn Allington. Favorite pet Judy.

A memorial service will be held at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice Nebraska on November 1st at 10:30 am. Final resting place will be at Blue Springs Cemetery. No visitation but a book will be available from 8 am – 5 pm on Thursday at the mortuary. Memorials may be given to the Church of Christ in Beatrice Nebraska.
