Burial was in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery in Delhi.
He died Sunday in St. Francis Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Jones was a Monroe resident of three years and a former resident of Delhi. He was a member and Deacon of Central Baptist Church in Monroe. He was also a member of the Delhi Masonic Lodge number 120 and the Delhi Eastern Star Chapter 128. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors included his widow, Mrs. Annie Mae Jones of Monroe; one son, Milton Jones of Monroe; one daughter, Mrs. Norma Salley of Biloxi, Miss.; one brother, R. B. Jones of Delhi; two sisters, Mrs. Vera Arnold of Delhi and Mrs. Mary Craven of Clarks; and one granddaughter.
Pallbearers were Fred Salley Sr., Henry Taylor, Roy McCandlish, Raymond Green, Edward Gibson and James Donahoe.
Masonic Services were conducted at graveside.
