A daughter of the late Henry and Clarinda (Barnes) Houck of Berkeley County, she was a member of Harmony Methodist Church here.
Mrs. Smaltz taught school for a number of years in the county, and taught Sunday School at the church. She maintained a stall in the market at Martinsburg, selling farm produce.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Katie Samsell, Marlowe; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Harmony Methodist Church here, the Rev. Jay A. Wilcox officiating. Burial in Harmony Cemetery near here. Arrangements by Leaf Funeral Home, Williamsport.
