Mrs. Lillie Bell Gumm, 82, died at 6:00 p.m. at her home Wed. Oct 20, 1965. She was born in Green Co KY in 1883. She was a member of the Summersville Baptist Church. Married in 1902 to L. L. Gumm Sr., who preceded her in death in April 1965. They had 2 sons, Johnnie Bell Gumm and Lotton Gumm Jr, 3 daughters: Ella Gumm Walker, Flossie Strader, and Ann Velera Gumm Puckett. Mrs. Gumm is survived by two half sisters, Bettie Bell Blakeman and Pearl Bell all of Green County; 15 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
The body is at Coward & Parrott Funeral Home until time for services at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct 23, 1965. At the Summersville Baptist Church with burial at the Gumm Cemetery in Summersville. Rev. D. L. Druien, Rev Henry Johns and Rev. Eutre Hammett will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be James Durrett, Robert Cantrell, Doyle Graham, Tommy Price, Moss Bale and Ed Altman. Active pallbearers will be Virgil Larimore, Amos Bloyd, Cecil Cantrell, Lloyd Sidebottom, Wilton McCubbins and Arvin Hall.
