Mrs. Lorene Phifer, 86, Phil Campbell, died Oct. 7, 2001. The body will be taken to Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, where it will remain until the service. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, at the church, with burial in Union Hill Cemetery. Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing. Officiating at the funeral will be Donald Davis and Shelby Phillips. She is survived by three sons, Jay Dee Phifer and wife, Elaine, Russellville, Harold Phifer and wife, Gail, Russellville, Ricky Phifer and wife, Kathryn, Phil Campbell; four daughters, Shelby Phillips and husband, Douglas, Goodwater, Ala., Peggy Lawler and husband, Jerry, Phil Campbell, Kathy Stewart and husband, Jon, Sylacauga, Tammy Messer and husband, Bryan, Phil Campbell; sister, Gladys Robbins, Russellville; brother, Verdo Warhurst, Phil Campbell; 25 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Comer Phifer; grandchildren, Trent Phifer and Bridget Lawler. Pallbearers will include Shannon Phifer, Randall Phifer, Lonnie Phillips, Jason Stewart, Jeremy Stewart, Nicholas Messer, Michael Mizell and Tyler Messer. Honorary pallbearers include Skipper Warhurst, Randy Roberts, Kenneth Barnes, Michael Madden and Lavern Warhurst.
