Dorothy Agnes Kingma, five-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob P. Kingma of Lafayette, died Saturday morning [July 28, 1934] at 5:20 o'clock at St. Elizabeth hospital after undergoing an operation for a ruptured appendix Friday morning.

Born in this city, January 3, 1929, she was a member of the Guardian Angel society of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Mrs. Kingma was formerly Miss Agnes VanDame of this city. Besides her parents, the little girl leaves a brother, Gordon, and a sister, Alice. Also surviving are her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph VanDame of this city and Mr. and Mrs. Jacob P. Kingma of rural Lafayette.

The body was removed to the Vianco funeral home and will be taken to the family residence Sunday morning where friends may call after 10 o'clock. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Lawrence church; internment in St. Boniface cemetery.
