Death Notice

Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin Boyd, 54, native of Williamson County, who died at his home on Hermitage Street in Nashville, Thursday morning at 7:15 o'clock, were held from the chapel of Cotton Funeral Home here Friday afternoon 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. John Williams.

Burial was in the Boyd Family Cemetery on Boyd Mill Rd.

Mr. Boyd was born and reared in this county, the son of the late Charles W. and Nellie Cochran Boyd members of pioneer families. He had made his home in Nashville for a number of years, where he worked sometime as a plasturer and more recently as street salesman for the Nashville Tennessean.

Survivors are his wife Mrs. Essie Boyd, three sons Arthur Thomas, Harold, and Dexter Boyd; three daughters Jean, Geraldine, and Hellen Boyd; three sisters, Mrs. Nannie Hill of Nashville, and Mrs. Annie Utley and Mrs. Louise Sweeney, both of Franklin, and two brothers Phil Boyd of Franklin, and Walter Boyd of Flat Creek.
