Our beloved mother and grandma passed away on October 24, 2013 at the age of ninety-three.mShe lived a full life.
She was born September 19, 1920 in West Jordan to Ruth Mary and William Lehmitz Jr.
Married William James Christiansen, who preceded her in death thirty years ago.
Ruth enjoyed working for Edward O. Anderson, Marion P. Hanks, Robert L. Simpson, Eugene England, UTA, and Homer Peterson. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Ruth is survived by her son, Harry J.; grandson, William Cody J. (Krystal); granddaughter, Carrie Lee; great grandchildren, Landyn, Lacie, Zoi, and Zayra; and sisters, Shirley Newman, Dorothy Seal, and Fern Beckstead. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and five brothers.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Orthopedic Center and the ER at Jordan Valley Medical Center. Thanks to Bobby Morgan, Jill Fillmore, Dixie Shore, Mrs. Barker, and Mrs. Peterson for their loving kindness and friendship.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hunter Fifth Ward Chapel, 5065 West Janette Avenue (3890 South), West Valley City, where a visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City.
