GREENWOOD, Oct. 5 - David Wardlaw Kennedy, 55, farmer of Troy, died at 1 a.m. Wednesday at Self Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. A lifelong resident of the Troy section, Mr. Kennedy was a son of the late John Calvin and Leila Wardlaw Kennedy. He was a member of Troy Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Norma Beckham Kennedy; two sons, John A. Kennedy of Greensboro, N.C., Donald Kennedy of Aiken; two daughters, Mrs. D. P. Craig of Gastonia, N.C., and Miss Norma Kennedy, student at Erskine College; four sisters, Mrs. J.W. Bradley and Mrs. F.E. Grier of Greenwood, Mrs. R.T. Nelson of Lake Wales, Fla., and Mrs. T. L. Funderburk of Matthews, N.C.; one brother, W.P. Kennedy of Greenville, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m., at Blyth's Funeral Home by Dr. S. A. Tinker. Burial will be in Troy Cemetery. Pallbearers will be D.W. Robinson, David Wardlaw, Tom Talbert, Frank Wardlaw, J.M.Cox. Jr., R.W. Christie and Kennedy Dowtin. The body is at the funeral home.
