Martha Paton May, nee Martha Jean Paton, died at home in Groton in the presence of her husband Allyn and daughter Anne on June 29, 2013.
She leaves behind her husband who loved her for 64 years; daughter Anne Elizabeth Knickerbocker and her husband Robert; grandson Robert Knickerbocker Jr. and daughter-in-law Toshiko May, widow of Peter May.
Two sons, Christopher Allyn and Peter Andrew, predeceased her.
Martha will be sadly missed by all who knew her, for she was to the end a beautiful, kind, and dignified lady who lived for the happiness of others.
In the season of her death, rain fell heavily upon Groton like the tears wept by her family.
Funeral services will be observed privately with burial taking place at the Peacham Cemetery.
