Nealey Butler was a son of Elias Butler. His mother is believed to be Sarah Elizabeth Starke Butler. He had eleven siblings.


Nealey Butler married Amy Arina Iren'ee Ogier/Ozier in 1815, or as late as 1818. They had thirteen children.
