East Union Lawn Maxine V. Blood
age 87, of Canton, passed away Sunday in Altercare of Navarre. She was born Nov. 25, 1924 in Jamestown, N.Y.,(Chautauqua Co) daughter to the late Ernest O. and Georgina (Metcalf) LeRoy. Maxine had been the owner of The Yarn Shop and Blood's Welding Company. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her loving family. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Neil Blood; sister, Margaret Neatherly and brothers, James and Stewart LeRoy.
She is survived by her four sons, Jim (Brenda) Blood of Pennsylvania, Douglas Blood of Arizona, David (Rheda) Blood of Canton, Ernie (Melody) Blood of Canton and Roger Westfall; two daughters, Sandra Kay (Jim) Fitzgerald of Arizona, Marlene Henry of Dennison, Ohio. There are 19 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; five great-great- grandchildren; sister, Jean Lyons of New York; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Williams officiating. Interment will be in East Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre.
