WILLIAM PRESTON ANDREWS
Wiliam Preston Andrews, 68, of 6014 Hadley, Merriam, died yesterday at the home. He was born in Creighton, Mo., and lived in the Kansas City area most of his life. He was a retired employee of the Gas Service company. Mr. Andrews was a past commander of the Peter Smith American Legion post and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church. He was an Army veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary K. Andrews of the home; two daugters, Mrs. Constance Lawrenson, Los Angeles; and Mrs. Betty Harman, 81111 West Fifty-fifth, Merriam; a brother, Clarance H. Andrews, 5331 North Woodland; three sisters, Mrs. Otis Conner, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Francis Nicoll and Mrs. Blanche Thompson, both of Nevada, Mo., and four grandchildren. Services at 1 o'clock Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran; burial in the Belton cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 o'clock tonight at the Amos chapel.
