She was a native of Avery County, born November 16, 1929, a daughter of the late Riez and Emma Homey Ward.
Mrs. Earp was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was retired from IRC/TRW.
Survivors include a son, two daughters, two sisters, and two brothers. Eight grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reis and Emma Horney Ward, her husbands, Clarence Hartley and Conley Earp and a brother, Fred Ward.
Services will b e conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 pm at the Grace Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church from 1-2 pm. Officiating will be the Rev. Juan Guichard and the Rev. Burl Greer. Burial will follow in the Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8:30 pm at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
