The following obituary appeared in the "Patriot-News" (Harrisburg, PA) on October 26, 2013:

DALMATIA- Warren Elwood Billow, 88, of River Road, Lower Mahanoy Twp., passed away October 24th, 2013 at the Sun Home Hospice Care Center, Sunbury.

He was born February 24, 1925 in Millersburg, son of the late Emmett M. and Annie (Mortez [sic]) Billow.

He had retired from the former Glenn Gary Brick Company, and also had worked in the past for Halls Trucking Company and Harrisburg Steel Co.

He was a member of the Millersburg Moose and the Killinger Hunting Lodge; Lifetime member of the Herndon, Dalmatia and Hickory Corners Fire Companys.

He enjoyed outdoor activities including fishing and hunting and riding his bicycle. He also enjoyed listening to Country Music and Penn State, Phillies and Pirates baseball.

Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Gladys A. (Snyder) Billow at home, 2 Sons, Randy W. Billow, Herndon, and Scott W. Billow, Dalmatia; Daughter, Bonnie S. Watts, Herndon; 4 Grandchildren, Mikki L. Sprenkle, Ft. Mead, MD, Dana Nicole Sprenkle, Loyalton, Cory W. Sprenkle "Booger", Dalmatia and Gabrielle Elizabeth Hannah Sprenkle "Snicklefritz", Sacramento; 1 Great Grandson, Aiden C. Laudenslager, Loyalton; Many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, John, Maynard and Grant; 4 Sisters, Miriam Snyder, Effie Deppen, Ardella Haines and Betty Olen.

There will be a viewing at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes, Inc, Millersburg on Monday, Oct. 28 from 7-9 pm and Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 10-11 am. Services will start at 11:00 am with the Sun Hospice Chaplin, James Taylor officiating. Burial to follow at Davids Church Cemetery, Millersburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the SUN Home Hospice Center, 61 Duke Street, PO Box 232, Northumberland, PA 17857-0232.
