Funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Monday, November 1, 2010, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, 1931 Houser Street. Reverend Don Sondrol will officiate the service. Casket bearers will be Rod Rochholz, James Lovejoy, Travis Cole, Brad Verdon, Matt Verdon, Steve Verdon, Billy Dittmer, Mike Lamp, Roger Lamp, Kevin Rochholz and Bruce Rochholz. Burial will take place in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery at noon.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, 2010, at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to the American Legion Durant Post No. 430 or the ALS Foundation.
June was born on June 1, 1940, in Davenport, the daughter of Edwin J. and Margaret I. Schoor Lamp. She married Gene O. Rochholz on July 11, 1959, in Davenport.
She was the home-delivery coordinator at Hy-Vee for 30 years.
She was a member of the Women of the Moose, a former member of Women's Investor Club of Muscatine, and also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary in Durant. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, canning, and going to the gambling boats.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Gene Rochholz of Muscatine; one brother, Allyn Lamp of Ankeny; one sister, Elaine Verdon of Davenport; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
