Rolland Lee “Bud” Boyle – Obituary
March 21, 1917 – May 25, 1990

Rolland Lee “Bud” Boyle, 73 died Friday in Salem.

He was born in Ekalaka, Montana, and was raised in Phoenix, Arizona, where he graduated from high school. During World War II he attended cadet school and flew in B-17s in Europe. He had car dealerships in Los Angeles before moving to the San Francisco Bay area in 1967.

He moved to Salem in 1983 following retirement. He enjoyed flying his own planes for business and pleasure and restoring old cars. He was a member of ham radio clubs in Hayward, California, and in Salem.

Survivors include his wife, Muriel Kay (Campbell) Boyle; daughters, Barbara Carter of Riverside, California, and Susan Miller of Sunnyvale, California; stepsons, James R. Campbell of Salem, Gary D. Campbell of Colfax, California, and Terry L. Campbell of Pleasanton, California; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

At his request, no services will be held. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Mortuary.

The gravestone photo was taken inside Mount Crest Abbey Mausoleum. It is on the grounds of City View Cemetery, but is a separate. City View only has outdoor mausoleums
