FORT WORTH, Texas – Lota Pauline Collum Huffman, 97, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at Heartland Health Care Center in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was born Feb. 3, 1916, to Dr. W.T. and Virginia Bell Funderburk Collum in Itawamba County. She was a member of Richland Hills United Methodist Church. She was known to be the "communicator" for the family, keeping the rest of the family informed about each other. She enjoyed teaching before her retirement, spending time with her family, and traveling the United States.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today, Oct. 25, at Senter Funeral Home in Fulton. Bro. Terry Paul Graham will officiate. Burial will be in Benefield Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, William R. Huffman of Ft. Worth, Texas; one brother, Dr. Billy T. (Barbara) Collum of Fulton; nephews, Tommy (Lynn) Davis and David (Kim) Collum, both of Ft. Worth; and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. W.T. and Virginia Bell Collum; sisters, Ethel Hall, Winona Williamson, Eutrika Collier, Eva Bostick, Irene Davis and Telpha Collum; and brothers, Travis Collum, Tillman Collum, Trennon Collum, Trelvie Collum, Tremon Collum and Telpha Collum.
