Uriel W. Edde, Victim Of Fall From Barn, Buried Here Sunday Afternoon --
Funeral services for Uriel William Edde, 61-year-old carpenter fatally hurt in a fall from a barn, were held here Sunday at the Wilson Funeral Home. R. A. Largen officiated, and burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Edde died Saturday in the Lincoln County Hospital of a skull fracture and niternal injuries received last Monday when he fell from a barn he was building in Moore County.
He was born in Davidson County and was a son of Mrs. Nancy Throneberry and the late James Edde. He residered near the Skinem community and was engaged in farming also. He has been a member of the Church of Chirst over 35 years.
Survivors include his mother; his wife, Mrs. Laura Mae Bryant Edde; four daughters, Mrs. Annie Mae McWhirter, Mrs. Rooney Belle Wallace, Mrs. G. W. Pitcock, and Miss Jean Edde, all of Lincoln County; eight sons, John Edde and Wilburn Edde of Lincoln County, Uriel Edde, Jr. of Harriman, Billy Eady of the U. S. Army, Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, W. B. Edde and G. W. Edde, both of Nashville, Ray Edde of Solido, Ohio, and Fred Edde of New Market, Alabama; two brothers, Carl Edde and Jim Edde, both of Moore County; a half-brother, Ollie Edde of Giles County; and 19 grandchildren.
