ALEXANDER, W.J. "BOOTS", age 74, of Fultondale, died April 16, 2005. "Boots" was a member of the Fultondale City Council for the past 32 years and served on the Gas Board for several years. He was owner and operator of Mack's Garage since 1951. He was a dedicated servant to the community and to his fellow man. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Alexander. Survivors include his devoted wife of 52 years, Mrs. Bernice Alexander; son, Dennis (Lisa) Alexander of Fultondale; brothers, Frank Alexander, Donald Alexander and Vernon Alexander; sister, Delois Romine; four grandchildren, Austin Alexander, Bryan Alexander, Brittney Alexander and Haleigh Hobe; and two great grandchildren, Ashton and Brooke. He is also survived by several members of his extended family and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 18, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Morgan's @ Gardendale Chapel with burial to follow in Guthrie Cemetery in Townley. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 17, 2005, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Morgan's @ Gardendale Funeral Home directing.
