Mary Gertrude Clay Andrews, 93, died October 23, 2013 in Pampa.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with Keith Feerer, minister of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Andrews was born June 23, 1920 in Wheeler County to William and Gertrude Attaway. She was a 1937 graduate of Shamrock High School. She married Bradford Clay on February 24, 1938 in Wheeler County. He preceded her in death in 1987. She later married Chester Andrews on May 30, 1989 in Pampa. He preceded her in death in 2006. Mary worked for 17 years in the school cafeteria in Stratford and Pampa. She also made wedding cakes and pastries in her home. She was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Hollon in 2012, two sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include a daughter, Gwyn Varnon of Kansas City, Missouri, a son, Claude Clay of White Deer, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ Children's Fund, 1342 Mary Ellen, Pampa, Texas 79065.
