Smiths Station, AL- Mary Trawick Palmer, 85, of Smiths, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.
Funeral services for Ms. Palmer will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Vance Memorial Chapel with Rev. Andy Rutherford officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Ms. Palmer was born in Jackson County, FL, the daughter of the late Bennie Bruner and Jessie Lee Calloway. Ms. Palmer later moved to the Smiths Station area where she worked and later retired, for K-Mart.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Palmer was preceded in death by her first husband John Trawick and her second husband John Palmer; one daughter Mary Helen Marthers; one son Leroy Trawick; two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by one daughter Johnnie Sue Riley and husband Lee of Smiths, AL; one son Tommy Trawick of Phenix City, AL; four sisters; one brother; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren - See more at: http://www.legacy.com
