He had lived in Hagerstown for 50 years, where he was employed by the Hagerstown Shoe Company for over 44 years. He was a member of the Order of Red Men, Tribe 197.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Florence Metz Delauter Barrow; daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Gregg, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mrs. Jane Goodwin, Hagerstown; Mrs. LaRue Marks, Hagerstown and Mrs. Doris Ambrose, Hagerstown; step children, Mrs. Lucille Wetzel, Hagerstown; Mrs. Hazel Long, Williamsport; Mrs. Joanne Hawthorne, Baltimore; son, Robert Delauter, at home; father, Hugh Barrow, Hagerstown; sisters, Mrs. Goldie Strite, Hagerstown; and Mrs. Virginia Barr (Myers), Hagerstown; brothers, Dorsey, Strother, and Charles, all of Hagerstown.
Services were held at the A.K. Coffman Funeral Home with burial in Rest haven Cemetery.
