Ronald Chester Covington, "Chet", 46, of Lexington, died Sunday, May 16, 1993, at King's Daughters Hospital, Staunton, Virginia. He was born in Lexington, on July 9, 1946, and was the son of Allen Brown Covington Sr. of Bath, N.Y. and Mildred Wagner Anderson of Buena Vista. He was a teacher for Rockbridge County High School. Surviving besides his parents are his wife, Linda R. Covington, Lexington; one son, Bryan Scott Covington, Lexington; two brothers, Allen B. "Bo" Covington Jr., Buena Vista, and James E. Covington, Lexington; maternal grandmother, Grace C. Wagner, Buena Vista. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning, 11 a.m. from the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Patrick officiating with burial in Green Hill Cemetery, Buena Vista. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lexington First Aid Crew. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Harrison Funeral Home.
