A celebration of life is occurring - 97 years of a long healthy life. Wayne was born October 2, 1916 to Margie and Ransom Boldrey, and he left this earth on October 20, 2013 to rejoin his family members. Wayne grew up and lived most of his life in the Hanover Horton areas. He worked at Lefere Forge for three years and retired from Central Advertising after 43 years of service. He continued on to work at Lomar Machine in Horton, MI, alongside of his Lomar friends and family, eventually retiring for his second time in 2009 after 27 years of service at the age of 93. Wayne is survived by daughters Gayle Mason and Sharon (Jerry) Nye. Grandchildren, Sally (Daniel) Wawiernia; Douglas (Karrie) Nye; Amy (Douglas) Blome and Suzanne (John) Decker. He is also survived by seven Great Grandsons; Alexander Blome, Cooper Nye, Zachary Blome, Jonah Nye, Taylor Blome, Murphy Nye and Easton Schindler. He is also survived by a niece, Diane (David) Osypczuk and her family and two nephews Larry Whiting and Bill Marsh. Wayne was preceded in death by his second wife Marie Boldrey, his parents; Margie and Ransom Boldrey, sisters; Marion Wininger and Lois Marsh and son-in-law Paul Mason. This obituary is also a recognition of the folks who do what they do so well and have been by our sides. Many thanks to Dr. Lynn VanWagnen and Dr. Mark Zande of Michigan Heart for their years of caring. Enough words of gratitude cannot be expressed to Kevin and Leigh Ganton and the wonderful personnel of Arbor North Living Center. We are so fortunate to have had Great Lakes Hospice available to us - Nurse Clint and Aid Denise and all of the Great Lakes Hospice personnel. Thank you Molly, Kim and so many other caring folks who kept us afloat. We do not know what we would have done without any of you. Visitation will take place at Wetherby Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will also take place at the funeral home on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ron Brooks officiating. Interment will take place at South Jackson Cemetery following the service. Contributions may be forwarded to Great Lakes Hospice or to the American Heart Association on behalf of Wayne. Wayne was a man of few words but was a gentle, caring soul. Just stop by to say good bye.
