Trula Brobeck-Varnon, 84, of Bristol TN died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church and attended Virginia Avenue Baptist Church in Bristol TN. She graduated from Washington College Academy.
Surviving are two sons, Norman C. Brobeck of Jacksonville, FL, and Johnny R. Brobeck of Bristol TN; a daughter, Brenda B. Hood of Atlanta; a sister, Edith Dunbar Jones of Johnson City; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted Thursday at 8 p.m. in Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport. The Rev. Cass Farrior will officiate. Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Liberty FWB Church Cemetery.
Among survivors are daughters-in-law Ruby Moore Brobeck of Jacksonville and Patricia Still Brobeck of Bristol TN; son-in-law Herman C. Hood of Atlanta; and grandchildren Lynne Brobeck Stephens, Gary Hood, Richard Hood, Robert Hood and Bradley R. Brobeck.
Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport, is in charge of arrangements.
