CALDWELL — Services for Earl N. Rost, 82, Caldwell, who died Thursday at an Ontario, Ore.; hospital, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, by the Rev. Hugh Auw of the Grace Lutheran Church, Caldwell. Interment will be at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
He was born Feb. 7, 1893, at Lafayette, Ind., where he attended schools. He married Olive M. Cobb May 16, 1922, at Fowler, Colo., and they came to Idaho in 1924. He worked as a ditch rider in Canyon and Owyhee counties before locating on a farm in the Marsing-Houston area. He retired in 1966 and moved into Caldwell where he had since resided.
He was a member of the Caldwell Grace Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife of Caldwell; two sons, Everett of Trona, Calif. and Walter of Homedale; a daughter, Mary Lyon of Parker, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren and two great granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at the Flahiff Chapel today and Sunday until 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund.
