His career started as a tax examiner with the Internal Revenue Service in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was there that he met his first wife. His daughter Jodi Lee Córdova was born on October 26, 1976. Isidoro returned to Albuquerque, NM in 1980 and worked for the New Mexico Federation for the Blind as a fund raiser.
