Ada Ruth Rentfro, 74, of Milan, died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at Lynncrest Manor, Aledo.
Graveside services will be at noon Saturday, at Rentfro Cemetery, rural Effingham. Visitation will be 5 PM today at Family Funeral Services, Milan. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Mrs. Rentfro was born March 11, 1926, in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, the daughter of James and Ottie {Griffith} Meadows. She married Leland Rentfro in 1945. He died in 1977.
She was a sales clerk in domestic department in Venture until her retirement; and was a member of the First Christian Church, Moline.
Survivors include her sons, Michael of Texas, Robert and Jeff {Sherrie} both of Milan, Gary {Carolyn} of Davenport; daughter, Mrs. Jim {Cheryl} Posateri of Milan; brothers, Jim Meadows {Frances} of Maryland, Roy Meadows {Lorane} of California; sisters, Mrs. John {Annabel} May, Mrs. Dick {Helen} Kotzman, Mrs. Wes {Margaret} Forrester, all of Maryland, Mrs. William {Josephine} Tincher of Indiana; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
