Randle "Dink" Edward Alpha, Jr., 79, Scottsburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013 in Louisville, Ky. Born Dec. 29, 1933 in Scott County, he was the son of Randle Edward and Edna Cletus Sutton Alpha. He retired from Draper Auto Sales and a member of the VFW and the American Legion Post in Scottsburg. He also served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He is survived by two sons, Michael D. (Neva) Alpha, Scottsburg and Randy G. Alpha, Sr., Titusville, Fla.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Imogene M. Hardy Alpha; and a brother, Robert Dee Alpha. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m. at Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home with Pat Richey officiating. Burial will follow in Scottsburg Cemetery with a special military graveside service. Visitaion is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
