WALTON, MARION (MARIE) The death of Marion (Marie) Walton occurred Sunday, November 28, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Port Elgin, NB July 27,1910, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Allen) Nicholson. She is survived by two brothers, Elvie and Hudson Nicholson of Port Elgin; three daughters, Anne (Tom) Jacob, Calgary, AB., Janette (Nate) Merrill, Tina (Louis) McDonald; one son Tom (Pauline) Walton of Fredericton, as well as grandchildren Malcolm (Alma) Walton and Sharon (Donald) Gorman, who she raised as her own children. As well, she leaves behind nine other grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, greatgreat-grandchildren and many friends. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Ernest; two sisters Leona (Lloyd) Allen, Jean (Irvine) MacKay; four brothers Austin, Delmer, Levi and Harman Nicholson. Marion (Marie) was a homemaker much of her life, but was also a dietician for several years. She was also noted for her hospitality, because if you ever visited her, you had to have a cup of tea and pie, or had to stay for dinner. She was said to be one of the best cooks on the Nashwaak. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and loved making quilts. By request, there will be no visitation, however, a memorial service will take place at 1 pm from the York Funeral Home, T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 1, 2004. The Rev. Hazel Morris-Harvey will officiate. Private interment will take place at the 42nd Highland Regiment Cemetery in Pleasant Valley for family members only. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's or Heart & Stroke Foundations or to a charity of their choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
