Services for Frances Becton will be held Thursday, October 17, at 11:30 am at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel, Quitman, MS with Rev. Dennis Coats officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Andrew Chapel Church Cemetery in the Carmichael Community.
Mrs. Becton died October 14, 2013 at Rush Hospital, Meridian, MS.
She was an owner and operator of Becton's Store in Carmichael until she retired.
Mrs. Becton loved God, her country, her family and was a devoted friend. She was very active in her community and had a great love for Shady Grove and Providence Churches.
Survivors include daughters, Beulah Nell Hayes, Quitman, MS and Beverly Sue Pearson, Carmichael, MS; grandchildren, Kerry Hayes (Phillis) of Marietta, GA; Terry Hayes (Monica) of Quitman; Joey Hayes (Dana) of Decatur, MS; Larry Pearson II (Melody) of Ventura, CA; and Blake Pearson of Murfreesboro, TN; great-grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, Aubrey Kate and Macy Brooke Hayes, brother, J. A. Wimberly of Carmichael, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James Lige Becton, her parents E. A. and Blanche Tew Wimberly; brothers, Harold, Jim, and Billy Wimberly; sister, Ora Thompson and son-in-law, Wiley Hayes.
Pallbearers will be Kerry Hayes, Terry Hayes, Joey Hayes, Larry Pearson II, Blake Pearson and Danny Napp.
