Mrs. Horne was born in Edgefield County, a daughter of the late Whitty and Katie Pardue Dorne. She was the widow of Henry William Horne. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Hubert Turner of Saluda; six sons, Earl Horne of Greenwood, Henry W. and Paul E. Horne of Callison, and Johnnie and Rufus Horne of Ninety Six, a sister, Mrs. Alice McCarey of Edgefield; and two brothers, Elbert Dorne of Belton and Whitty Dorne of Greenwood.
