Wolf Point Farmer Hit By Auto; Dies
Wolf Point, June 23--Arthur Chrisman, 35, a farmer residing near here, was killed late Saturday evening near Oswego, when hit by a car driven by Richard Schaale of Wolf Point. Chrisman stopped his car on the road for tire repairs and had no tail light. Both cars were traveling west. Schaale, accompanied by Gus Knaap of Oswego, turned a curve and came upon the Chrisman car suddenly. In making a quick swerve the Schaale car skidded in gravel and sideswiped the other car slightly, striking Chrisman who was on the ground. Schaale did not know a man was outside the hit car but returned to note the damage. He brought the injured man to the hospital here. Chrisman died soon after he was placed in the hospital.
