July 2, 1925 - Carroll Times - Aftet an illness of three weeks, Sister Mary Crescentia Wagner died at the St. Anthony hospital Sunday morning, June 28, at 3 a.m.

She was born January 24, 1848, and in 1872 when 24 years of age, joined the order of Franciscan Sisters of the Perpetual Adoration, St. Rose convent, La Crosse, Wis., where she proved a very useful member for more than 50 years. By her self-sacrificing and unassuming manner she won and held the confidence and love of all who knew her.

She is survived by one brother Herman Wagner of Mott, N.D., and a sister, Sister Mary Euphrasia, of the same order now stationed at St. Rose convent, La Crosse, Wis.

Funeral services were held at 9 o'clock at the S.S. Peter and Paul church on Tuesday morning, with Rev. P.W. Warzawa officiating, and with Rev. Butler, Rev. Cordes and Rev. Schenkelberg present in the sanctuary. About 60 Sisters attended the funeral besides a large number of friends. The pallbearers were as follows: J.P. Hess, L.J. Wegman, M.F. Kerwin, Frank Rettenmaier, Joseph Achatz, and Joseph

and Elisabeth Simon.

She joined the order of the Francisican Sisters of the Perpetual Adoration, October 6th, 1872, at the St. Rose convent in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
