Ruble Franklin "Bill" Berryhill, owner and operator of Berryhill's Garage in East Florence for 37 years, passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2013. He was 75. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Elkins Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Henry Melton and son-in-law Johnny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Mr. Berryhill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Poole Berryhill; daughters, Linda Thomas (Johnny) and Mary LeMay (Stacey); a son, Jimmy Berryhill (Ginger); nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Church. He was preceded in death by a son, William Franklin Berryhill, a sister, Geraldine Michaels, two brothers, Vernon Washington Berryhill and J.D. Berryhill. Pallbearers will be Andy, Jayson, and Scott Berryhill, Brad Thomas and Kevin and Gary Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Berryhill, Scott Poole, Joey Palomo, Jay and Brian Berryhill. The family would like to thank Dr. Edsel Holden, Dr. Hemant Patel, the nurses of the CTRU and the sixth floor at ECM Hospital for their excellent care.
