Madeline Margaret Evans was born May 16, 1917, in Quincy, Ill., to Brian and Alvera (Montague) Evans. She married Norbert Trine on August 3, 1936, at St. John's Catholic Church in Quincy, Ill. Madeline was a homemaker and was a PTA member, Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader, a member of Daughter's of Isabella, Prince of Peace Parish, the Prince of Peace Ladies Auxiliary, served on the parish council, was a Pink Lady volunteer at Mercy Hospital and was one of the first members of Valley Oaks Golf Club.
Madeline is survived by her husband, Norbert, of Clinton; daughters, Donna Herkelman, of Clinton, Sharon (Carl) Alm, of Clinton, Janet (Paul) Olson, of Portland, Oregon, and Linda (Robert) Rasmussen, of Glendale, Arizona; and sons, Rick (Ann) Trine, of State Center, Iowa, Randy (Patty) Trine, of Burlington, Iowa, and Mark Trine, of Woodward, Iowa. There are 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and six step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials can be made to Prince of Peace Building Fund or Multiple Sclerosis.
