Alden Theodore Arbon passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011. He was born June 2, 1933 to John Theodore and Nancy Lucretia Ashby Arbon. He enjoyed scouting and became an Eagle Scout. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northern States Mission. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah and enjoyed his years employed in the Aerospace Industry. In 1964, he married Eva Nell Wade in the Salt Lake Temple. After raising their seven children, they served several LDS missions together: Port Harcourt, Nigeria, Africa as family history missionaries; St. Louis, Missouri mission; two stake missions; and two service missions at the Lindon Cannery and at the American Fork Employment Center. Alden enjoyed the outdoors, reading, learning, ham radio, computers, gardening, and temple work. He is survived by his beloved wife, Eva Nell, his seven children: Bonnie (Mike) Dimond, Daniel (Brenda) Arbon, Laura (Paul) Snyder, Michael Arbon, Nancy Arbon, Paul (Emily) Arbon, and Rachel (Shawn) Smith, and his 23 grandchildren which were the joys of his life. He is also survived by his four siblings: Robert (Beverly) Arbon, Richard (Davauna) Arbon, Mary (Lloyd) Pendleton, and Val (Bonnie) Arbon. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 18th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Pleasant Grove 2nd Ward Chapel on 455 E. 200 South, Pleasant Grove, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:30 am to 10:45 am.
